Job Title: Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician
Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Location: Greenville, NC 27834
Shift time: rotational shift schedule that includes day, night, weekend, holiday, and occasional unscheduled shifts. The rotation is 4 nights on → 3 days off → 3 days on → 1 day off → 3 nights on → 4 days off → 7 days off.

Pay rate range: 28.00 - $29.00/h on W2 contract

Job Description:
As a key member of the Drug Product Division (DPD) at our Greenville, North Carolina facility, you will contribute to a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging site. Our operations cover a wide range of pharmaceutical products, including sterile injectables and oral solid doses, from developmental stages to full commercialization.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain boiler systems along with all related physical plant equipment, which includes condenser water (cooling tower), air compressors, air dryers, potable water, and chilled water systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and departmental requirements.
  • Operate and maintain High Purity Water systems, including Water for Injection (WFI) and Purified Water (PFW), generated by Reverse Osmosis (RO) and distillation units.
  • Monitor equipment performance through computer controls, reviewing recorded operating data, troubleshooting issues to ensure uninterrupted operations, and effectively communicating the status of operations, including failures and corrective actions, to management.
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance with housekeeping standards in utility areas and address any concerns.
  • Participate in a rotational shift schedule that includes day, night, weekend, holiday, and occasional unscheduled shifts. The rotation is 4 nights on → 3 days off → 3 days on → 1 day off → 3 nights on → 4 days off → 7 days off.

Nice to have:

  • An associate’s degree in applied science in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

  •  

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in plant equipment operation, particularly involving boiler systems, air compressors, or similar industrial settings.
  • Prior experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Skilled in the use of advanced diagnostic and testing equipment.
  • Capable of reading and comprehending blueprints, manuals, and training materials
  • Broad knowledge of general trades, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
