Phlebotomist III - Floater
Duration: 2+ months (Possibility of Extension)
Location: Nashville TN
Shift: 8am to 5pm M-F
Job Summary
The PSR III is the face of the company to patients during routine health visits or critical health decisions. Responsibilities include drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring patient comfort and trust while explaining procedures. The role requires leadership behavior, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information. Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe and professional environment.

Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.

Verify patient demographic information, including initials and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Travel between multiple locations as required, ensuring timely coverage of assigned sites.

Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Transportation & Travel

Reliable transportation required with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Travel extensively across a large area in Tennessee (from Portland to Lawrenceburg, and Cookeville to Dixon).

Must be able to travel between sites with minimal notice.

Mileage reimbursement provided.
Education & Training
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
Additional Details

Must list home city on resume; pay rate is based on years of direct experience.

Candidates must be within a 20-25 minute commute of physical work locations to ensure timely travel.

Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.

Candidates must be punctual and stay for the entire scheduled shift.

Floaters submit mileage for expense reimbursement.

Reliable transportation is mandatory; rideshare or public transit is not considered reliable.
