Senior Scheduler
Job Title: Senior Scheduler
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 (Onsite)
Contract Type: 3-Month W2 Contract (High potential for extension based on performance and business needs)
Pay Range: $20 $23 per hour (W2)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Senior Scheduler to join our team in Basking Ridge, NJ. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for managing complex home health aide schedules, ensuring consistent and high-quality care coordination. The ideal candidate will bring experience in private duty home care scheduling and demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. This position also includes training responsibilities and coordination with billing and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the lead scheduler for a designated caseload of home health clients.

Receive and screen service requests; collect supplemental client information from families, referral agencies, or institutions.

Clearly communicate agency services and policies to prospective clients and their families.

Coordinate initial and ongoing service schedules and maintain detailed records in the agency's EMR system.

Update client profiles including referral, insurance, billing, and aide schedule details.

Handle schedule changes, cancellations, or coverage issues, and escalate to the case manager or supervisor when necessary.

Ensure accurate and timely communication with the billing department regarding client service status and billing updates.

Document aide attendance, performance issues, and recommend corrective action or training as appropriate.

Provide daily hand-offs to and from on-call staff; manage follow-ups from evening and weekend calls.

Serve as a mentor and trainer for new Administrative Service Coordinators, providing guidance on EMR systems, policies, and best practices.

Support agency planning, performance improvement, and care coordination activities.
Required Qualifications:

Education: Associate s Degree required

Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in home care scheduling or similar administrative support role

Demonstrated customer service experience

Proficient in the use of EMR systems and multi-system scheduling tools

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

Comfortable working with confidential health and insurance information

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience specifically in private duty home care scheduling is strongly preferred
