Press Operator (Temporary to Permanent Position)
Job Title: Press Operator (Temporary to Permanent Position)
Shift: Second Shift, 03:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday (may require initial training on day shift)
Role Overview: Operate Hamilton presses safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products according to job specifications and company procedures. Responsible for adjusting press components, verifying materials for accuracy, maintaining documentation, ensuring print quality, and adhering to safety, health, and quality standards. Assist with setting up numbering machines, preparing print plates, and requesting materials as needed for smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate Hamilton presses following company procedures and job specifications.

Adjust press components to ensure safe operation and quality production.

Verify materials for accuracy and quality.

Maintain required documentation and ensure proper labeling of materials.

Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.

Assist other operators and perform setup of numbering machines and print plates.

Request materials and supplies necessary for efficient operation.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

For Inexperienced Pressman: Complete a twelve-week training program on-site.

For Experienced Pressman: Minimum five years of experience in running a printing press.
Skills:

Mechanical ability to diagnose and adjust press issues.

Mathematical proficiency to calculate job requirements.

Ability to interpret measurements and understand job jackets.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Effective time management and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
