Job Title: Credentialing Specialist
Location: Morristown, NJ 07960
Contract: 3 Months+ (Possibility of Extension)
Pay Range: $30 – $35/hr. (W2)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST

Duties / Essential Functions:
- Enforce regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
- Prepare and maintain reports of credentialing activities, including accreditation, membership, or facility privileges.
- Ensure all information meets legal, federal, and state guidelines when processing applications.
- Carry out various credentialing processes for physicians and allied health practitioners.
- Process applications for initial applicants as well as reappointments (approx. 125–200 quarterly).
- Collect and process significant amounts of verification and accreditation information.
- Maintain and update accurate information in the Echo database (education, training, experience, licensure).
- Prepare materials for Credentials Committee meetings, Medical Executive Committee (MEC), and Board of Trustees meetings.
- Set up and maintain provider information in Echo.
- Maintain confidentiality of provider information.
- Ensure compliance with the Bylaws at each location regarding credentialing processes.
- Schedule, and occasionally attend, site-based medical staff department meetings and take minutes.
- Process and collect dues for site-based medical staff.
- Compile and maintain current and accurate data for all providers.
- Set up and maintain provider information in online credentialing databases.
- Track license and certification expirations for all providers.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the credentialing process required.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong research and data analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Previous hospital experience credentialing physicians is required.

- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST.
- Punctuality is a must.
- Note: This is NOT a payor role.
