Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Patient Services Representative II (Phlebotomist)
Duration: 7+ months, possibility of extension Hours/Week: 40
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Atlanta, GA – Candidates must be within a 20–25 minute commute
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a front-line representative responsible for delivering excellent patient care and performing quality specimen collection. The PSR II collects blood samples, ensures proper labeling and processing, and provides clear communication and compassionate support throughout the patient visit. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across multiple locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood and other specimens using standard procedures, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws
- Prepare, label, and process specimens for laboratory testing with accuracy and compliance
- Verify patient identity and demographic information; ensure proper labeling of all samples
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Explain procedures and build trust with patients through clear, compassionate communication
- Support clinical operations by managing supplies and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Travel to assigned locations, including Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy sites
- Follow company protocols, safety standards, and the Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws)
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred)
- Experience with data entry and customer service (preferred)

Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and travel on short notice
- Punctuality and dependability are mandatory
