PC Technician

Hybrid Start Time: 8:00 AM End Time: 5:00 PM Work Day: Monday to Friday

Qualifications: All applicants will be advised that Client, as a federal contractor, may be required to implement a COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Education Associate s degree in a computer-sciences related field, or equivalent and demonstrable training and experience. Microsoft certifications are a plus. Experience One (1) or more years experience as a full-time professional in the field of information technology, with a strong grasp of computer hardware and software fundamentals. Skills/Certifications Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, problem solving, and time-management skills. Dedication to on-going technical education, both as a student and a teacher. Able to perform heavy lifting. Responsibilities: Processes customer requests, provides order status and responds to inquiries in a timely manner. Cellular order process and tracking Attention to detail Excel reporting capabilities including: Data analysis and summary of data being tracked. Manage stockroom inventory and maintains re-order thresholds for IT products. Provides reports regarding PC inventory, installation, and end-of-life activities. Resolves order and inventory issues as they arise. Other duties as assigned by the Enterprise Workstation Services Manager or PC Install and Support Services Team Lead. Configures, delivers, and installs PCs, peripherals, and corporate standard software. Oversees the building and maintenance of corporate computer images for laptops and desktops. Organizes and oversees the return of leased computer equipment, and prepares out-of-date equipment for donation or disposal. Provides information for use in management decisions on the selection of desktop, laptop, and computer peripherals. Maintains inventory of computers and components. Serves as backup to PC support specialists, providing end-user support under their guidance and direction. Contributes, as a subject matter expert (SME) to the development, implementation and maintenance of PC-related policies, procedures, and standards that conform with organizational objectives and IT industry best practices. Documents technical issues and their resolution, in accordance with corporate standards. Comments/Special Instructions This will be a hybrid position and candidates will need to be local to Chattanooga since training will be onsite. Teams interview will be conducted. The manager is looking to fill this requirement asap.
