Job Overview:

Responsible for leading and participating in facilities project activities including space planning, , initiation, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing a variety of small to mid-size design and facility alteration projects. Perform general facility conditions assessment on a variety of building systems (mechanical systems, create and update as-built or record drawings using AutoCAD. Track and report on project progress. Act as liaison between Client's facility management and sub-contractor / vendors.
This position requires knowledge of electrical systems in construction and maintenance project management concepts, practices and procedures, facility maintenance standard industry practices and associated federal/state regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities:

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing on a daily basis. The individual will frequently be required to lift or move over 50 pounds.
Coordinates facility construction and/or remodeling and oversees the placement and administration of all outside contracts for space planning, engineering, and construction services when assigned. Related to electrical and low current system

Planning, assigning, and reviewing the efficiency and quality of work performed by outside contractors.
Establishing work priorities, organizing work schedules, and/or contract workers and monitor projects in progress while ensuring that work is completed in an expedient and cost-effective manner.
Inspecting completed projects for quality and adherence to specifications or contract terms.
Scheduling and planning short range maintenance and repair projects.
Performing and/or overseeing all general maintenance and repair related to electrical panels, transformers, PLC, electrical cabling installation/repair, power generation and all other general maintenance needs.
Implementing a preventative maintenance schedule and providing adequate staffing for routine maintenance scheduled.
Ensuring that equipment replacement parts and repair materials are available when needed and on schedule.
Determining scope of work to be completed through regular personal inspections and day-to-day work orders generated.
Maintaining inventory of stock items for general and preventive maintenance needs and maintaining records and reports of work completed.
Other duties assigned.

Qualifications - Skills & Requirements:

Strong computer skills, including use of CAD.
Knowledge of electrical systems
GMP Documentation practices area qualification, facility/engineering equipment qualification, SOP preparations, routine monitoring of facility/engineering equipment.
Knowledge of state building code, state construction procedures for capital improvement and informal projects, good practical knowledge of several trades including piping, heating and air conditioning.
Experience in facility construction that includes construction supervision, Scheduling, Client Scheduling and Cost Control.
Demonstrated knowledge of the tools, materials and equipment used in construction and maintenance trades.
Working knowledge of building codes and other rules/regulations related to construction, renovation, and/or major maintenance of facilities.
Experience reading construction blueprints/plans.
Working knowledge of OSHA Regulations for the Construction Industry.

Min Qualification:
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Facilities or related field of study.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years facilities management experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
