Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Department: Recovery Room
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM | 5 Days/Week | 37.5 Hours/Week
Unit Details: Avg. 6 patients/Beds in Unit: 6 & Staffing Ratio: 1:1–2
Pay Rate: $73/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview:
The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse provides safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. This position follows the Relationship Centered Care model and requires the ability to manage post-operative recovery, including patients with intubation and medicated drips. The nurse collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Associate Degree accepted with relevant experience or active enrollment in BSN program.

Licensure/Certifications:
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- At least 2 years of post-op management and medicated drips experience
- Experience recovering intubated patients post-surgery
- 1 year of travel nurse experience (required for Travel roles only)

Technology:
- EPIC charting experience highly preferred
