Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Telemetry
Job Location:  Baton Rouge, LA 70816
Job Duration: 3 Months+ (possibility of extension)

Available Shifts: Nights and Days (12 Hours)
Start available: ASAP
Blended pay range: $2050 to $2200/weekly
 
REFERRAL BONUS ON EACH SUCCESFUL REFERRAL
 
Other available units: ER (Emergency Room), Operating Room, Telemetry, Case Manager, Cath Lab RN.
Locations: Lafayette, LA & New Orleans, LA
 
Job Duties:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms via telemetry and respond to EKG changes
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips (e.g., Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone) per protocol
• Provide comprehensive Med/Tele nursing care for patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed personnel
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards
• Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient-centered care

 
Required Experience, Education & Certifications:

• Epic, Med/Tele experience >1-year, cardiac drips, EKG interpretation
• RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
