Location: Salinas, CA
Duration: 3 Months+ (possibility of extension)
Shift Time: 7 PM – 7 AM (36 hrs/week) Night Shift.
Pay Range: $68 - $77/hr. on W2 (Travel)

Job Summary:
- Registered Nurse II provides age-appropriate patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing treatment under the Director’s supervision. Collaborates with the healthcare team and may float to other units as needed.
Provides rapid and accurate assessments, develops and implements emergency care plans, and collaborates with physicians and the care team. - Coordinates patient care, manages discharge planning, and educates patients/families. Maintains documentation, ensures safety, responds to emergencies, and may serve as charge nurse or preceptor.
- Supports departmental goals and adapts to a fast-paced ER environment.
- Completes nursing assessment of patient, and documents appropriately into patient record.
- Develops a plan of care based upon the assessment of patient, age appropriate and developmental needs of the patient
- Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in developing a plan of care
- Initiates, manages, and participates in discharge planning
- Initiates, manages, and participates in patient/family teaching.
- Demonstrates implementation skills in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
- Evaluates and updates patient’s response to plan of care.
- Maintains professional standards by participating in in services, committees, and performance improvement activities, etc. 10. Facilitates physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care of the patient.
- Contributes to cost effective patient care by monitoring use of time, equipment, and supplies.
- Complies with safety policies and procedures in order to provide a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
- Demonstrates necessary flexibility in regard to changes in Hospital or unit activities.
- Should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her unit.
- Acts as preceptor and charge nurse as assigned.
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year Clinical Registered Nurse experience preferred in specialty areas.
- Must have successfully completed Pharmacology test.
Skills:
- License: Current California RN license – Required
- Certification: Current ACLS, PALS, BLS with American Heart Association – Required
- Education: BSN preferred; Associate degree acceptable with relevant experience or BSN enrolment
