RN - Telemetry
Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 2 moths with possible extension
Pay range - $65/hr, - $70/hr.
We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.
Schedule Notes:
Work Hours: 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM (Day Shift)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Telemetry is responsible for monitoring and caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The RN will work in the Telemetry Unit, providing patient-centered care, administering medications, conducting assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The RN will utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and is expected to perform all clinical functions with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients

Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and notify providers of abnormalities

Perform patient assessments and document findings in EPIC
-
Administer medications and IV therapies accurately

Educate patients and families about ongoing care and discharge planning

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Follow hospital infection control and safety protocols

May be required to float to other units as needed
Skills & Requirements:

EPIC Experience (Required)
-
Active NY RN License (Unencumbered)
-
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
-
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred

Experience: Minimum 2 years recent telemetry experience

Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN)

Ability to work night shifts and in high-acuity telemetry settings
-
Strong cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation skills
